Who is Daniel?
Daniel is my boy. I named the web site after him because I figured maybe twenty years from now when he's ready to become an engineer or an astronaut he might need a back up plan... so here you go, let's knead some dough!

As far as me, it all started one day with craving a nice sandwich made with hearth artisan bread like the one I once ate in France, and so the search began...

... Several years later after I researched, studied, practiced, talked to bakers, read almost every book about bread, turned my kitchen into a lab which drove my wife crazy, watched instructional professional videos from Culinary Institutes, tasted different bread in the U.S., Canada & Europe including the famous "Miche Poilane" in Paris, (ordered a loaf once from Poilane Bakery and had it shipped by Fedex from Paris to California and cost me $50 (36 Euros) and made my in laws shout out loud " FIFTY DOLLAR LOAF OF BREAD???!!" )... I was finally able to bake my own bread and make a sandwich just like the one I once had in Paris!

Why buy a DVD?
I remember when I was learning the process by reading books, there were times when I wished I could watch a video so I could see exactly how it’s done, like the techniques of kneading the dough, shaping it and slashing it etc... There were also times when my bread did not come out the way it should and I couldn’t get it right until I watched few baking videos which cost me few hundred dollars and that finally helped me achieve the results I wanted.

Well, now you don’t have to go that far, after spending hundreds of dollars on books and videos and several years of practice, talking to bakers and sampling bread from different countries, I managed to make bread that tastes just like that one I had in Paris. I also managed to put together a DVD that teaches in detail all you need to know about artisan bread making.

You can make bread just like the one you see here. I made it all in my home kitchen.
